Kyle Cancino’s passion for music began at the age of 10. Proficient in multiple instruments, with the saxophone as his primary focus, Kyle also plays the clarinet and has experience playing the drums and piano. He has been actively involved in ensembles from elementary school through college. In high school, he served as the woodwinds captain in the marching band and played in the orchestra for the annual musicals.
Kyle graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance, earning high academic honors, including a Magna Cum Laude distinction.
Following his academic achievements, Kyle established a strong foundation in both solo and ensemble performance. He has performed with the NJ Jazz Academy and The Westfield Community Band at Carnegie Hall and in the summer. His solo performances have graced local town events, where he serenaded community members by playing different musical genres like jazz, pop, and rock on his saxophone. His experience extends across a range of musical styles, and he has taken the initiative to form small bands and arrange and compose music.
Kyle is eager to bring his expertise and enthusiasm to new opportunities, contributing to vibrant musical communities and inspiring the next generation of musicians.
