In order to stop lessons for summer, please read through the entire page and fill out the form at the bottom of the page. NO LESSONS OR BILLING WILL BE STOPPED FOR SUMMER BREAKS UNLESS WE RECEIVE THE FORM AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE BY THE 20TH OF THE MONTH PRIOR TO THE BREAK.
The last day of lessons for the 2023-2024 school year is June 29th. We will be closed for early summer break from Monday, June 28th and reopening for summer lessons Tuesday, July 8th. We will also close for our pre-fall break August 26th and reopen for fall lessons on September 3rd
IF YOU ARE STAYING IN LESSONS – If you would like to keep your current lesson time, and do not anticipate needing to change lesson times, you don’t need to do anything. If you plan on keeping your lesson time, but will be away for a few weeks during July and August when we are not closed for breaks, please cancel that lesson in Opus1 to be rescheduled within 45 days following the lesson once you have paid for that month’s tuition.
IF YOU ARE STAYING FOR THE SUMMER BUT NEED A NEW TIME FOR JULY AND AUGUST- Please let us know that you are staying but need a new time before June 20th so that we can do our best to find a time that will work for you. This time of year we have a large volume of requests, so the sooner we know what you are looking for, the sooner we can make a note of it. If you know you will be away for a full week when you will be unable to take any lessons, please cancel those lesson on Opus1 to be rescheduled within 45 days following the lesson once that month’s tuition has been paid.
IF YOU ARE TAKING A BREAK BUT WOULD LIKE TO COME BACK TO YOUR CURRENT TIME IN THE FALL – Let us know the return date. We will charge your billing account the first week of July and the first week of August for half tuition to hold your time. That tuition will not be held for future use or applied to future lessons or classes. Please make sure to let us know in the form below that you wish to hold your time so we can update your billing plan for June or July by the 20th of the month prior to your break.
Please note that not all teachers have the same schedule availability in the fall. We will let you know if retaining your current time might not be available for now. Anyone who holds their time and ends up having an unexpected need to change the schedule will be able to utilize their tuition hold for September’s lessons.
Please be aware that if you hold your time and then have a schedule change, we will do our best to accommodate but it is contingent on teacher’s availability. We can not guarantee that a new time will be available that works with your schedule. We will, however, give you priority schedule change availability on July 22nd with in-studio students for any lesson time changes.
IF YOU ARE TAKING A BREAK BUT ARE NOT SURE WHAT NEXT YEAR’S SCHEDULE MIGHT BRING – Please let us know that you will be out for the summer no later than June 20th as our billing system may be backed up due to a large volume of scheduling and billing changes. Any changes made after this date could be charged due to a backlog as students will be updated in the order that they notify us. If you are charged, we will be happy to apply any tuition credits in the fall. Returning students are allowed to schedule fall lessons the first week of August, after current summer students choose their lesson times. When scheduling fall lessons, payment for September is due at the time of scheduling, not September 1st. Lesson times will not be held until payment has been successfully submitted.
